Game maize planted and established in the correct conditions provides excellent cover with an open area underneath for any shoot. Birds will be able to move freely with the additional benefit of the nutritious feed value of the cob. Can be planted in strips with another full season crop.

The varieties selected for game cover are carefully chosen with the following criteria in mind:

• Very stiff so still standing in February

   

•  Low cob carriage allowing easy access for birds
